NEVER EVER EVER destroy your writing. They’re the story of your journey, where you were going, what you felt, and why you felt that way. You need to be able to look back on where you were, understand why you were there, and, depending on the situation, decide if you would ever let yourself be there again.

Over time, we tend to forget the details and our true emotions. As they say, “time heals all wounds.”

Writing is priceless. It tells the story of our journey and makes us writers whole, well-rounded people. When we’re happy, we write, when we’re sad, we write. We write to celebrate our victories and to heal our wounds. The deeper the wound or the greater the victory, the more we write.

Don’t ever destroy writing — even our biggest failures and frustrations should be documented as it is part of us. If others can benefit from what we’ve been through, why shouldn’t we share?
